Man Killed in Crash Identified
VAN NUYS —
Authorities on Saturday identified a man who was killed when his compact car rear-ended a big rig on the San Diego Freeway.
Eddie Ernesto Cevallos, 30, of Glendale was pronounced dead Friday at the scene of the early morning crash, said Lt. David Smith of the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
Cevallos’ Toyota Corolla smashed into a tractor-trailer that was traveling about 35 mph in the far right lane, just north of Burbank Boulevard, authorities said.
The truck driver was unhurt.
