Chmura’s Not Guilty, but He’s Not Innocent
“I’ve disappointed many, many people. And for that I am truly sorry,” says Mark Chmura [Feb. 5]. This married man and father, caught in a bathroom, drunk, with a 17-year-old girl, is the same Mark Chmura who, as a member of the Super Bowl-winning Green Bay Packers, refused to visit the White House with the rest of his team because he did not approve of President Clinton’s morality.
There are words for that behavior: craven hypocrisy.
