Sergio Garcia leads the Greg Norman Holden Invitational after two rounds, but his lead isn’t safe with the host only one stroke behind at Sydney, Australia.

Garcia, winless since the 1999 German Masters, shot a four-under-par 69 Friday and was at 13-under 133. The Spanish star opened with a 64.

Norman, who turns 46 today, shot a 68.

“Maybe I’ll give Greg a birthday kiss on the first tee tomorrow,” Garcia said. “I’m happy that I’m going to have the chance to play with him.”

Spain’s Jose Maria Canizares shot a four-under 68 to take a one-stroke lead over Dana Quigley and Mike McCullough in the ACE Group Classic at Naples, Fla.

Canizares, seeking his first senior title, made a 25-foot eagle putt on No. 16 and played the final four holes in four under. He lost to Lanny Wadkins last year on the third hole of a playoff.

With high rough and firm greens making the course difficult, only 15 players broke par and the scoring average was 74.359. Last year, 38 players were below par and the average was 71.692.

Annika Sorenstam and Karrie Webb are at it again in the Takefuji Classic, with Sorenstam taking a two-stroke lead into the final round at Keauhou, Hawaii.

Sorenstam, who lost to Webb on the first hole of a playoff last year, shot a five-under 67 for a seven-under 137 total. Webb had a 69 to join Lorie Kane, A.J. Eathorne and Cristie Kerr at 139.

Sorenstam also took a two-stroke into the 2000 final round on the Kona Country Club course.

“I have quite a bad memory of certain things,” Sorenstam said. “I know I’m happy with how I’m playing now.”
