The victim told police he had just gotten off work and was talking with friends in the parking lot when Squire walked by and allegedly confronted him, thinking the group was talking about him. The victim said he had never seen the man before.

Squire was spotted by police before he left the shopping center. Police recovered a small knife that they believe was used.
