2 Men Killed, Couple Injured in Chatsworth Collision

Two men were killed in a car crash on De Soto Avenue in Chatsworth on Thursday night, Los Angeles city fire officials said.

A man and his wife were also injured in the 8:25 p.m. accident just south of the Ronald Reagan Freeway, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.

The two men, who were traveling northbound on De Soto in an Acura, died at the scene, Humphrey said. Their names were not immediately available. Both men were trapped in the car, Humphrey said.

The injured couple, who are from Simi Valley, were southbound on DeSoto. Both were taken to local hospitals, where they were in fair condition, Humphrey said. The cause of the accident was under investigation, officials said.
