Web Consulting Firm to Close L.A. Office

U.S. Interactive Inc., which offers Web consulting services for companies, said it plans to close its Los Angeles facility with about 60 employees by Friday. The company, which is moving its headquarters to Cupertino, Calif., from King of Prussia, Pa., didn’t say whether the Los Angeles employees will be offered employment at other U.S. Interactive offices. The company also plans to close its office in Philadelphia within the next few months. It also has other offices in Washington, London, Munich and two cities in India. Officials at the company couldn’t immediately be reached for comment. Shares in U.S. Interactive, which have fallen 99.6% in the last year, closed off 3 cents at 28 cents on Nasdaq before the news was announced.
