Brashears, Kelly Join Irvine Sensors Board

Mel R. Brashears and Thomas M. Kelly have joined the board of directors of Irvine Sensors Corp. in Costa Mesa. Brashears is chairman and chief executive of iNetWorks Corp., an Irvine Sensors subsidiary, and former sector president of Lockheed Martin Corp. Kelly is former general manager for Kodak’s Digital Capture products and a director of Silicon Film Technologies Inc., also an Irvine Sensors subsidiary. Kelly filled the position vacated by Walter E. Garrigan, who retired.

* F.M. Ameri has been appointed by the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Santa Ana region, by Gov. Gray Davis. Ameri is a senior vice president at RBF Consulting in Irvine.

* Terri Parker has joined the labor law firm of Fisher and Phillips LLP as director of communications in the Irvine office. She was previously communications director for the Irvine Chamber of Commerce.

* Janice Parks has been appointed to the new position of vice president of social marketing for the Newport Beach advertising agency of Lawrence, Mayo & Ponder. She will supervise advertising and marketing activities for the California Department of Health Services and READ California. Parks joined the agency in 1998 as an account executive. Before that, she spent seven years with Orange County’s United Way.

* Mark Ishimatsu has been named research director for Morpace International Inc. in Irvine. He was formerly a senior consultant in the national market research department for Kaiser Permanente. Ishimatsu was also a senior market analyst for MedPartners, the Long Beach Memorial Heart Institute and Community Psychiatric Centers of Laguna Hills.

* Daniel J. Merel has been named vice president of provider and carrier services at Provider Database Systems Inc. in Santa Ana. Before joining the company, he was director of client services, Western region for Aperture.

* Terry Manson has been appointed director of human resources for Louis and Co. in Brea. Most recently, he was human resources director for B/E Aerospace Group in Orange. Manson has also held human resource management positions at the Automobile Club of Southern California, Focus/MRL, Trico Industries and HJ Heinz Co.

* Judy Winner has been named sales manager for sensor products at BEI Duncan Electronics division in Tustin. Before joining BEI Duncan, Winner was at Spectrol Electronics Corp. for 22 years, most recently as sales manager for Spectrol’s North American distribution and original equipment manufacturer accounts for heavy equipment products.

* David M. Carlson has been appointed executive vice president and chief technology officer for Firstsource Corp. in Santa Ana. Carlson was previously president and chief executive for Sagence Systems Inc., senior vice president and chief technology officer for Ingram Micro and chief information officer for Kmart. Carlson succeeds Azhar Hameed, who will serve in an advisory role for the company.

* Valerie Hardman is the new director of marketing at Danielian Associates, an Irvine architectural and planning services firm. She has more than 22 years of marketing experience.

* Dan Jenkins has been named vice president of business development for Access360 in Irvine. Previously, Jenkins was with Logitech for seven years, where he was responsible for sales, marketing and operations. Before that, he was with Lotus Development Corp. In addition, Richard Rippy was appointed vice president of worldwide professional services and John Tullie is the new vice president of sales, North America. Rippy joined the company from Continuus Software, where he spent six years as vice president of worldwide service. Earlier, he was vice president of worldwide customer support for Retix and a director of worldwide support for Emulex Corp. Tullie was formerly vice president, North American sales at Continuus Software Corp. Tullie was also vice president, Western region at Wang Software and vice president, Western region at FileNet Corp.

* Kurt Buxton has been promoted to principal at HRP LanDesign, a Santa Ana landscape architecture, planning and urban design firm. He is studio manager and director of computer technology.

* Breanna Corrigan has been selected as the managing director for the AMC 12 Theatres in the Downtown Disney district in Anaheim. She was previously managing director for the AMC 20 Theatres in Norwalk and Santa Clara.

* Diane Thomas, media relations manager for Orange County, has been elected president of the Orange County chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. Bill Prichard, vice president at BockPR, is president-elect. Judy Iannaccone, director of public affairs for American Red Cross’ Orange County chapter, is the newly elected secretary. Jan Johnson, managing director of Multipath Communications International, will serve as treasurer.

* Jake Jacoby has been named general manager of the new San Diego office of Irvine-based eBuilt Inc. He was formerly vice president for product and market development at Change.com. Jacoby was also founder and chief executive of Digital Trends.

* William Estill has joined Pacific Sunwear of California Inc. in Anaheim as vice president of planning and allocation. Estill has more than 25 years of experience in retail, most recently as vice president of planning and allocation for Cato Stores. Before that, he was vice president of corporate planning for Seiferts Stores.

* Kevin Graham has been appointed vice president of sales for California Software Corp. in Irvine. He was previously director of sales for Ingram Micro and national manager for business development at 3COM Corp./US Robotics.
