Exec Exodus Continues at BMG

Share

The exodus of executives at Bertelsmann Music Group continued Monday, with technology head Kevin Conroy and Chief Financial Officer Tom McIntyre leaving the company.

The moves follow the unexpected departures in November of Chief Executive Strauss Zelnick and Chairman Michael Dornemann, who were forced out in a power struggle and replaced by BMG veteran Rudi Gassner.

The German conglomerate last week appointed former TV executive Rolf Schmidt-Holtz to run the music division following the death of Gassner from a heart attack in December.

The moves come at a time when Bertelsmann is pushing to close a proposed merger with EMI Group to create the world’s biggest music conglomerate.
