Did Anyone Realize It Was MLS Season?

Knock me down with a feather! Grahame Jones, in his column last week, actually praised American-born, college-trained Galaxy defender Greg Vanney!

I couldn’t agree more. The Galaxy needs to hold on to its young stars and resist the efforts of the MLS single-entity wrecking crew to use the Galaxy as a developmental squad to support incompetently managed Eastern Division teams.

If the Galaxy encounters salary cap problems the solution is easy: Trade or release part-time player Luis Hernandez, who is fun to watch but not productive enough to justify the cost.
