The film, starring Jimmy Stewart in a tale of political corruption and idealism, will be shown at 8 p.m. as part of the university’s monthly classic films showcase.

In addition to Frank Capra III (“Pluto Nash,” “The Story of Us”), former California Gov. George Deukmejian will also speak about the film, offering a veteran politician’s take.
