Water Board Seeks Resident to Fill Seat
The Orange County Water District is taking applications to fill a seat on its board of directors.
The board will hold a special meeting Feb. 7 to choose a new member. The vacancy was created by the recent resignation of Kelly Rowe, who represented Division 7.
The position is open only to residents of Division 7, which encompasses parts of Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, Irvine, Fountain Valley, Huntington Beach, Tustin and Westminster. Specific boundaries can be obtained at the Orange County registrar of voters office, 1300 S. Grand Blvd., Building C, Santa Ana.
The water district provides water to more than 2 million residents.
Anyone interested in serving on the board must send a resume and a letter of interest to the district’s board secretary, 10500 Ellis Ave., Fountain Valley, CA 92708. All applications must be received by Feb. 1. Information: (714) 378-3233.
