* Anne Marie Ramirez Fierbaugh; Ex-Poster Child

Former Ventura resident Anne Marie Ramirez Fierbaugh died Thursday at her home in Colorado Springs, Colo., following a lengthy illness. She was 34.

Fierbaugh was born Sept. 1, 1966, in Mt. Holly, N.J., When she was 1, her family moved to Ventura, where she attended local grade schools and graduated from Ventura High School in 1984.

At age 4, Fierbaugh was named Ventura County’s Easter Seal poster child, her family said. Despite various physical handicaps, she led a full life and worked as a Tupperware consultant for several years, her family said.

Three years ago on Valentine’s Day, she married David Fierbaugh and moved to Seattle. Fierbaugh’s family said she recently moved to Colorado, where the couple planned to build a log home and raise their 1-year-old son, Charles William.

In addition to her husband and son, Fierbaugh is survived by her parents, Manuel and Andrea Ramirez of Ventura; a sister, Cathy Allgood; two brothers, Edward and Philip; grandparents, Louis DelaTorre and Petra Ramirez; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A visitation is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ted Mayr Funeral Home in Ventura and a rosary will be recited the same day at 7 p.m. There will be a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Church in Ventura followed by burial at Pierce Bros. Santa Paula Cemetery.
