Now that stars expect to discuss the minute details of their awards-day ensembles, many chatted freely about their designer clothes at Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards. Along the red carpet, stars delivered some of their best lines of the night . . . and without cue cards.

* “It’s getting more attention than me.” Marla Sokoloff, of “The Practice,” on her Judith Leiber minaudiere rhinestoned in a Hollywood and star pattern.

* “We’re all wearing Mommy’s jewels tonight.” Jane Seymour, on the necklaces of diamonds, rubies and pearls (all gifts from her husband) that she and her daughters, Katie and Jenni Flynn, wore to the ceremonies.

* “I feel very much a woman.” Frances O’Connor, of “Madame Bovary,” in her ruffled, peach Chanel dress.

* “This is called Tangle in My Hands.” Youngest “Malcolm in the Middle” star Erik Per Sullivan, on the yo-yo move he was trying to execute. The yo-yo came with the price of his rental tuxedo.

* “I find it a little weird that the only two words that come out of my mouth are the name of the designer.” Jamie Lee Curtis on why she handed out cards listing the creators of her dress, shoes, bag, hair and shoes.

* “I’m all Versace. From the goggles to the boots. What a sweetheart Donatella is.” Robert Downey Jr. on his latest fashion benefactress.

* “I’m accentuating what I don’t really have a lot of.” Sandra Bullock, on the cleavage-enhancing properties of her corset dress.

* “Who knows what color I am. Probably somewhere between blond and brunet.” The newly brunet Laura Linney on her changing hair colors.

* “My new hero in the fashion world is John Varvatos. I wear him so much, I was beginning to sound like a broken record.” Will & Grace star Eric McCormack on why he chose a Dolce & Gabbana suit for the ceremonies.

* “She wore a basket!” Bette Midler, providing her own punch line about her black, basketweave raffia dress by Pamela Dennis.

* “I’d never been sent a private plane before.” Angelina Jolie, on the lavish treatment she received from Donatella Versace, who custom-designed her dress.

* “See?” Bai Ling, pointing to the matching print micro-bikini that proved she was, indeed, wearing underwear beneath her sheer Roberto Cavalli dress.

* “I’m not talking about clothes.” Faye Dunaway, on anything but the maker of her burnt-orange pantsuit.
