Hoffman Has Big Night for USC

Ebony Hoffman recorded her first career double-double with 19 points and 17 rebounds as USC defeated No. 20 Oregon, 55-53, Thursday night at Eugene, Ore.

Hoffman’s hook over Jenny Mowe with 42 seconds left, coupled with her free throw with 13 seconds remaining, gave the Trojans the lead.

Tashara Carter scored 12 points for USC, which improved to 7-9 overall and 2-4 in Pacific 10 Conference play. Brianne Meharry led Oregon (11-5, 4-2) with 12 points.

Oregon State 71, UCLA 58--Felicia Ragland scored 23 points as the Beavers (11-5, 3-3) defeated the Bruins (3-14, 2-4) at Corvalis, Ore. Michelle Greco led UCLA with 25 points.
