* Child Advocates Office of Los Angeles Superior Court needs volunteers, appointed by the Dependency Court, to advocate for children who have been removed from homes due to abuse, neglect or abandonment. Volunteers, who must be 25 or older, will evaluate circumstances, investigate resources and make recommendation to the court. Orientations will be held Feb. 13, March 1 and March 21. * Burbank Public Library Literary Services needs tutors to teach basic literacy to adults who speak and understand English but read and write below a sixth-grade level.
