La Habra Teen Killed as Car Hits Pole, Tree

A La Habra teenager died early Sunday after apparently losing control of his car and slamming into a utility pole and tree here, police said.
Daniel Frederick, 17, suffered severe head and chest injuries in the crash, which occurred about 12:30 a.m. as he was driving north on Harbor Boulevard, about 100 feet north of Valley View, police said.
Results of an autopsy were not available Sunday.
