Girl, 2, Burned in Fall Into Fire Pit at Beach

A 2-year-old girl was being treated for burns at UCI Medical Center in Orange on Sunday after falling into a fire pit at the state beach, fire officials said.
It was not immediately clear how the was injured at about 2 p.m. Sunday, said Becky McGill, a supervisor at the Newport Beach Fire Department.
She was listed in fair condition at the hospital.
