From Times Staff Reports

The sister of an inmate who escaped from Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies said Thursday she is praying that her brother surrenders peacefully and that she believes he broke into her Hawthorne apartment for a change of clothes.

Jerryle Bradley said in an interview that she suspects that her brother Kevin Jerome Pullum took a pair of gray sweatpants and a white T-shirt with a Childrens Hospital logo from her apartment. She said she was out of town last weekend and that a window had been pried open.

Pullum, 31, disappeared last Friday after he was convicted in Van Nuys Superior Court of attempted murder. Jail and sheriff’s officials are unsure how he escaped. Assistant Sheriff Dennis Dahlman said an investigation and search are continuing.

She said that if she hears from her brother, she will encourage him to turn himself in.
