Police Seek Identity, Motive in Fatal Shooting

Police are investigating the death of an unidentified man shot early Thursday in the Westlake area.
Described as a Latino about 30, the man was standing near West Temple and Patton streets about 1 a.m. when he was shot in the abdomen by a male assailant.
The victim appeared to be alone and on foot, police said. There was no evidence of a fight, and a motive for the shooting has not been determined, police said.
