Gang Members Held as FBI Seizes Drugs, Cash

From Times Staff and Wire Reports

In the second round of such busts since December, the FBI has arrested six members of a notorious Southern California gang, turning up large amounts of drugs, cash, weapons and luxury vehicles in two Riverside houses, authorities said Friday.

The money was found in the 6200 block of Brookdale Avenue. The drugs were found in the 6000 block of Lassiter Road. The arrests took place on Tuesday, after an investigation by the FBI, the Los Angeles Police Department and other agencies, said FBI Special Agent Matthew McLaughlin. Since December, 22 members of the 38th Street gang have been arrested on charges of conspiring to distribute cocaine and other drugs, he said.
