Three Soccer Players Invited to Tryout Camp

Soccer players Erin Misaki of Valencia, Jill Oakes of West Hills and Ally Marquand of Irvine were selected to attend a three-day training and tryout camp that began Tuesday in preparation for the women’s under-21 Nordic Cup Championships.

Misaki, a midfielder from Newhall Hart High, will be a junior at the University of Portland in the fall.

Oakes, a midfielder who will be a senior at Studio City Harvard-Westlake High, is one of only two high school players selected to the camp’s 20-player roster. Anne Morrell of Canton High in Plymouth, Mich., is the other.

Marquand, a defender from Irvine University High, will be a sophomore at Stanford.
