Update--Tim Salmon enjoyed his two-game rehabilitation stint at Class-A Rancho Cucamonga, where he had one hit in eight at-bats, but he was glad to return to a big league clubhouse Friday. “It was really refreshing to go to the minor leagues--that’s what it’s all about,” Salmon said. “You see the energy those guys play with, the excitement of a minor league crowd. . . . They seem to enjoy the game for what it is. But at the same time, I’m not as comfortable in that environment.” Salmon probably will bat sixth in the lineup behind third baseman Troy Glaus.
