In Port Hueneme’s second knife attack over the weekend, a man was repeatedly stabbed Saturday night, police said.

Jason Soldo, 24, was standing outside his home in the 700 block of West Hemlock Street about 7:45 p.m. when a group of five or six men attacked him, police said.

Soldo fought back and beat one of his assailants unconscious, police said. The suspects fled, carrying their friend. Soldo was treated for stab and slash wounds on his back.

The motive was not immediately known. The assault followed by less than 24 hours another incident in which a man was repeatedly stabbed at a party in what police believe was a gang-related attack.
