Blues Lose Soccer National Title Games

The Dana Point-based Southern California Blues girls’ under-17 and under-16 teams lost title games Sunday at the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships in Lawrence, Ind.

The Bethesda (Md.) Fury defeated the Blues, 1-0, in overtime in the under-17 final and the GSA ’85 Phoenix Red of Lilburn, Ga., defeated the Blues, 4-2, on penalty kicks after a 1-1 tie in the under-16 final.
