Twenty-four horses will compete in three 400-yard trials. Those with the 10 fastest times will advance to the final on California Champions Night, June 23. The Governor’s Cup Derby is part of a 12-race series that features more than $900,000 in purses for California-bred quarter horses.

Secret Card won five times in 11 starts and earned $344,977 last year. The bay filly is trained by Jaime Gomez, who also trained Make It Anywhere.
