The Los Angeles chapter of the American Institute of Architects will host a self-guided tour of architecturally significant homes in Pacific Palisades designed to allow visitors to view the homes in a leisurely fashion. Go at your own pace in this self-driven, self-guided tour and visit four homes designed by architects Steve Kanner, Moore Ruble Yudell and Trevor Abramson in whatever order you like. The Houston Film Commission presents its ninth annual “Texas Filmmakers Showcase” Sunday at the Directors Guild of America in Hollywood. The event aims to bring the cinematic work of Lone Star state directors to the attention of the entertainment industry. This year’s event features 11 films, ranging in length from three to 30 minutes, that were chosen by a panel made up of a cross section of professionals from Texas and Los Angeles.
