BofA Adds Ueberroth to Board of Directors

Former baseball commissioner Peter V. Ueberroth was appointed Wednesday as a member of Bank of America Corp.’s board of directors.

Ueberroth, 64, of Laguna Beach, is managing director of Contrarian Group Inc., an investment and management company in Southern California.

Ueberroth served as baseball commissioner from 1984-89. He is also the chairman of the board of Ambassadors International Inc. and a member of the board of directors for Coca-Cola Co. and Hilton Hotels Corp. He also is co-chairman and a co-owner of closely held Pebble Beach Co., which owns the Pebble Beach Golf Links and other courses on California’s Monterrey peninsula.

Ueberroth served as president of the Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee for the 1984 Games.
