North Tops South in All-Star Water Polo

Behind three goals from Marina’s Cara Chlebicki and two from Esperanza’s Jessica Conner, the Orange County North team beat Orange County South, 9-4, in the Southern Pacific All-Star tournament championship game at Mt. San Antonio College on Sunday.

Erica Nicholson of El Toro, Mary Beth Cox of Irvine, Laura Case of Laguna Beach and Amber Stachowski of Capistrano Valley scored for the South team.

Kristen Carfiola of Santa Margarita made six saves for the South and Marina’s Sarah Mix had five for the North.
