The Grove to Include Schwarz, Nordstrom
Toy retailer FAO Schwarz has leased 25,000 square feet of shop space and construction is underway on a 122,000-square-foot Nordstrom store at the Grove at Farmers Market, a shopping center under development on a 20-acre site adjacent to the historic Farmers Market at 3rd Street and Fairfax Avenue in Los Angeles.
Construction began in December on the Grove, which is scheduled to open in spring 2002. The 640,000-square-foot center also will include Banana Republic, Gap, Barnes & Noble, J. Crew, Maggiano’s Italian restaurant and a 14-screen Pacific Theatres movie complex.
The Grove is a project of Caruso Affiliated Holdings, developer of community and regional retail centers including the Commons at Calabasas, the Promenade at Westlake and Encino Marketplace.
