WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN LATELY? MEXICO

San Jose del Cabo, about 30 miles from Cabo San Lucas, is a provincial Mexican town. I’ve always wanted to retire down there one day and grow olives. I surf right outside of San Jose at Acapulquito. It’s good for an old guy like me because there are three different breaks. One is called “Old Man.” It’s kind of an easy break, an ego break, because it’s a soft break. Also, the golfing is phenomenal.

DISCOVERY: Tequila restaurant in San Jose is probably the coolest on earth. I walk in there, go into the cigar room, choose a great Cuban cigar, walk into the bar and pick out one of their 100 tequilas and cozy myself up at one of the tables in the back yard. It’s probably the most incredible food in Mexico.
