Sprained Left Wrist Sidelines Miller

Share

The Kings have suffered a loss every bit as significant as their 7-0 defeat Wednesday to the Edmonton Oilers. As it turns out, defenseman Aaron Miller has a badly sprained left wrist and will be sidelined indefinitely.

Miller was injured in the third period of the Kings’ 6-2 victory Monday over the Phoenix Coyotes. He managed to make it through that game and gave it a try Wednesday. But he played ineffectively in the first period and called it a night.

“I can’t shoot or pass,” Miller said. “I can’t battle on the boards. I’m not going to be effective if I can’t do that. I’ll be back as soon as I can be effective. We’ll wait and see. Obviously, this couldn’t have come at a worse time.”

The Kings recalled defenseman Rich Brennan from Lowell of the American Hockey League to bolster their defense.
