Roger Clinton’s Arraignment Put Off
The arraignment of Roger Clinton, half-brother of the former president, on charges of drunken driving and disturbing the peace was postponed Monday in Superior Court in Torrance. A new court date was set for May 14.
Clinton was arrested by Hermosa Beach police Feb. 21, a month after President Bill Clinton pardoned him for an unrelated cocaine distribution offense, for which he served a year in federal prison.
Roger Clinton’s attorney requested the postponement on grounds that more time is needed to secure recordings of police radio dispatches. He said those dispatches will show that Hermosa Beach police recognized and unjustly targeted Clinton, who lives in nearby Torrance.
