Girl Who Drowned in Pool Identified
A 7-year-old Lake Forest girl who drowned in her family’s swimming pool was identified Wednesday as Erica Lewig, Orange County coroner’s officials said.
The girl was taking an unsupervised swim in the backyard of her family’s home in the 29000 block of Canyon Vista about 8 p.m. Tuesday, said Capt. Kirk Summers, spokesman for the Orange County Fire Authority. Family members found the child floating face-down in the pool.
She died at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center in Laguna Hills about 8:40 p.m., authorities said.
