Council Doesn’t Act on 2 Controversial Issues
From Times staff reports
Costa Mesa council members did not take action Monday night on two controversial proposals.
A plan to widen portions of 17th Street and Newport Boulevard was not voted on because the measure was not properly advertised. It will come back before the council at the May 21 meeting.
An ordinance to allow the city to designate and protect structures such as the “California Scenario” sculpture garden at South Coast Plaza was not on the agenda.
