David Forbes Named CEO at Global Animation Holdings

David M. Forbes, former executive vice president of Orion Pictures and president of MGM/UA Distribution, has been named CEO of Global Animation Holdings. Global Animation Holdings includes Los Angeles-based Spectrum Studios and Manila-based ImagineAsia and VirtualMagic Asia. Prior to joining Global Animation, Forbes ran his own consulting firm.

Opus West Corp. has named Craig Halverson director of real estate development for its Southern California office. Halverson will be responsible for the development, site acquisition, marketing and leasing of projects within the greater Ontario Airport and Orange County areas. Opus West Corp. is a full-service real estate company based in Phoenix with offices in Irvine.

Sizzler International Inc. announced that Kenneth Cole has been appointed president and chief executive of Sizzler USA. Cole most recently served as president and CEO of Santa Clara, Calif.-based Blue Chalk Cafe Corp., owner of eatery Left at Albuquerque. Sizzler International is based in Culver City.

Shakey’s Inc. has appointed Sean Flynn as president. Prior to joining the Garden Grove-based restaurant franchise, Flynn specialized in running multiunit franchise concepts in Canada and the Asia-Pacific region with Pizza Hut, A&W;, Movenpick and the Keg.
