Police Say Store Clerk Fatally Wounded Suspect

A store clerk fatally wounded a robbery suspect Thursday, authorities said.
The unidentified gunman was hit after he shot at a clerk at the 9th Street Market about 11:45 p.m., said Pomona Police Sgt. Paul Capraro. The clerk was not hit.
The suspect fled in a pickup, which he crashed on Buena Vista Avenue, Capraro said. The man was taken to Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead about 12:20 p.m.
