Woman Robbed, Bound in Home Invasion
An 85-year-old Huntington Beach woman was left bound and gagged for 3 1/2 hours after a home-invasion robbery Friday, police said.
Vi Chau Cong-Tang was discovered about 2:30 p.m. when her granddaughter returned home from school, said Police Lt. Ron Burgess. Cong-Tang was sitting on the living-room floor against the couch with her hands and feet bound, he said.
The house was so heavily ransacked that it was unclear immediately what was taken, Burgess said. Cong-Tang was treated by paramedics at the scene, then taken to a local hospital, but she apparently had no injuries, authorities said.
