Passenger, 88, Dies After Car Is Broadsided
An 88-year-old Oxnard man died Friday afternoon at a local hospital from injuries he sustained in a two-car traffic crash earlier the same day, Oxnard Police said Saturday.
Lawrence Raymond was a passenger in a car driven by his wife that was broadsided by a second car shortly before 2 p.m. in the 2400 block of Esplanade Drive in Oxnard, according to authorities.
Raymond’s wife and the driver of the other car, both of whom police declined to identify, were treated for minor injuries at different area hospitals and released.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
