Second-ranked USC won the Pac-10 baseball title outright by defeating Oregon State, 1-0, at Corvallis, Ore., in the final game of the regular season.
USC (39-18), which finished 18-6 in conference play, will be one of eight seeded teams when the 64-team Division I playoff bracket is announced today. The Trojans will host a four-team double-elimination regional starting Friday.

Allison Comito’s goal with eight seconds left in the second overtime lifted top-ranked Maryland to a 14-13 victory over Georgetown in the NCAA Division I women’s lacrosse final at Baltimore.
It was the Terrapins’ record seventh consecutive lacrosse title.
