School Trustees to Weigh Staff Contingency Plan
From Times staff reports
Trustees of La Habra City School District plan to discuss this week whether to transfer employees to new assignments rather than hire staff members if state funding for education is cut.
The discussion, which will be in a closed session, is scheduled for a school board meeting Thursday.
“We don’t anticipate this happening,” said Tim Harvey, the district’s head of accounting. “But it’s something you always want to be prepared for.”
