It’s not every day we can write about the pairing of Carmen Electra and Sisqo, but that’s exactly what you get in “The 2001 World Music Awards” (9 p.m. ABC).

Electra, who starred in last year’s gross-out smash “Scary Movie,” and Sisqo, the man behind the “Thong Song,” co-host the two-hour special, which was taped May 2 in Monte Carlo.

This isn’t the first time the performers have worked together. They shared a musical scene in “Get Over It,” the recent teen comedy in which Sisqo made his film debut.

Christina Aguilera, Ricky Martin, Rod Stewart, Shaggy, Enya, Nelly Furtado and the Backstreet Boys supply the star power as performers, while Rod Stewart accepts an award for lifetime achievement.

ABC’s musical competition comes from Fox Family, which carries “Bee Gees in Concert,” a two-hour special (8-10 p.m.) recorded in Australia. Brothers Barry, Robin and Maurice perform such hits as “How Deep Is Your Love,” “Stayin’ Alive” and “To Love Somebody.”

A touch of trivia: The Guinness Book of World Records lists the soundtrack of “Saturday Night Fever,” which featured six Bee Gees songs, as the best-selling soundtrack of all time, selling more than 40 million copies.
