Holiday Closings
Veterans Day will be observed Monday with the following schedule:
* County, state and federal offices will be closed.
* Most city offices will be closed. But offices in these cities will be open: Brea, Garden Grove, Laguna Hills, Los Alamitos, Mission Viejo, Stanton and Westminster.
* County, state and federal courthouses will be closed.
* County libraries will be closed, as will city libraries in Anaheim, Fullerton, Mission Viejo, Newport Beach, Orange and Yorba Linda. City libraries in Buena Park and Placentia will be open.
* Most banks and savings and loans will be closed. Contact your branch for details.
* Public schools, community colleges and UC Irvine will be closed. Cal State Fullerton and Chapman University will be open.
* Mail will not be delivered, and all post offices will be closed. Mail deposited in mailboxes will be picked up according to the posted holiday schedule.
* Trash will be collected on the normal schedule.
* Buses: Orange County Transportation Authority buses will run on the normal schedule.
* Metrolink trains will run on the normal schedule.
