Westmont (0-0) at UC Santa Barbara (0-0), 2 p.m., KEYT (1250)--Optimism is high in Santa Barbara, where several key players return from last season. Sophomore Branduinn Fullove made 10 of 15 three-pointers in two exhibition games and power forward Adama Ndiaye returns after sitting out last season because of a broken finger.

Nevada (0-0) at Cal State Northridge (0-0), 7 p.m.--Cal State Northridge unveils a very different team from last season, when it went to the NCAA tournament for the first time. The main constant is point guard Markus Carr, who led the nation with 8.9 assists a game and will be asked to score more often this season.

Four starters return for Nevada from last season’s 10-18 team, including guard Terrance Green, who averaged 11.8 points.
