Swin Cash and Diana Taurasi each scored 14 points and No. 1 Connecticut shot well from the start to rout Wake Forest, 88-38, Monday night at Winston Salem, N.C.
Asjha Jones scored 13 points and Sue Bird had 12 points and seven assists for Connecticut (6-0).
Eafton Hill led Wake Forest with 10 points.
No. 8 North Carolina State 74, No. 17 Old Dominion 58--Ivy Gardner, in her first start this season after knee surgery Nov. 11, finished with team highs of 18 points and eight rebounds for North Carolina State (5-0) at Raleigh, N.C.
Okeisha Howard led Old Dominion (2-2) with 19 points.
No. 9 Texas Tech 72, Oregon 65--Plenette Pierson had 22 points and 12 rebounds for Texas Tech (2-1) at Eugene, Ore.
Jia Perkins had 10 points and a career-high 11 rebounds for the Red Raiders (2-1).
Shaquala Williams had 18 points and eight rebounds to lead the Ducks (2-3).
No. 21 Arizona State 68, Richmond 57--Melody Johnson’s 16 points and 11 rebounds led Arizona State (4-2) in the Paradise Jam tournament at St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.
No. 23 Notre Dame 89, Army 57--Jacqueline Batteast had 18 points and 12 rebounds, and Le’Tania Severe scored 13 points for Notre Dame (2-2) at South Bend, Ind.
Katie Macfarlane scored 13 points for Army (1-4).
