No one has ever scored 100 points against George Washington at the Smith Center, and Joe McKeown wasn’t about to let it happen against Tennessee.

So when the Lady Vols reached 80 with four minutes to play, the coach called a timeout.

“I said, ‘If they score 100, you’re running,”’ McKeown said.

Still, the No. 2 Lady Vols handed the No. 22 Colonials their worst home loss in 23 years, 88-57, Tuesday night at Washington.

The Lady Vols (4-0) forced turnovers at the rate of nearly one a minute for much of the first half and held the Colonials (1-2) without a field goal for more than seven minutes.
