Irvine Golfer Captures Title

UC Irvine freshman Walailak Satarak won the Heather Farr/University of Colorado Memorial Invitational on Tuesday at the Interlocken Resort in Broomfield, Colo.

Satarak, a graduate of Paramount High playing her second tournament, shot five-under-par 67 Tuesday for a four-under, two-day total of 140. Irvine finished fourth with a two-day total of 603, 11 shots behind winner Nebraska.

This is the first year for women’s golf at Irvine.
