Couple Plead Not Guilty to Killing Baby Son
A Santa Clarita couple pleaded not guilty Thursday to killing their 1-month-old son by exposing him to methamphetamine, the district attorney’s office said.
Brandi Anne Blachard, 25, and her husband, Scott Alexander Blanchard, 28, were arrested Tuesday. They were each charged with one count of murder and one count of child abuse, to which they also pleaded not guilty. If convicted they face possible life sentences without parole, D.A. spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons said.
