Police discovered the empty car of a 58-year-old Sherman Oaks man who has been missing since Thursday, officials said.

Meyer Muscatel’s car was found parked at the rear of a Gelson’s market on Milbank Street and Sylmar Avenue at 10:30 a.m. Sunday in Sherman Oaks. There were no indications of any foul play, said Los Angeles Police Department Det. Phil Morritt.

Muscatel told his daughter, Rachel Muscatel, that he was going to meet some people for a business meeting at about 6:30 p.m. Thursday. He has not been heard from since. She did not know who he was meeting and where.

Family members said Muscatel’s disappearance was completely out of character. Morritt said police have no leads in finding Muscatel, a Van Nuys-based residential developer.

Anyone with knowledge of Muscatel’s whereabouts is being asked to call the LAPD’s Missing Persons Unit at (213) 485-5381.
