Man Is Shot Twice During Argument
A 26-year-old man was shot twice in front of relatives’ El Rio home while arguing with a group of men, authorities said Thursday.
Ralph Medina Jr. of Oxnard suffered injuries to his hand and leg and was treated at St. John’s Regional Medical Center, authorities said. Medina was shot about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 1100 block of Stroube Street.
Ventura County sheriff’s deputies said Medina had stopped by the house to borrow a saw when he was confronted by three men. The group argued and then the men got into a car, fired at Medina and drove off.
The motive was unknown, and the case is under investigation.
