Animal Services Chief Is Fired
From Times Staff Reports
The head of the city’s Animal Services Department said he was fired from a post he has held since 1993.
Dan Knapp, who has been hospitalized for months for what he said are stress-related seizures, was notified Tuesday.
“I’m still in shock. I have no insight into why this happened,” Knapp said Wednesday.
Neither the mayor nor Deputy Mayor Matt Middlebrook could be reached for comment.
